Granville energy, like so many businesses, had operational challenges born out of the slow march of time. Also a common sentiment, the efficient monitoring and management of the facility was paramount in delivering successful, and safe, operating conditions. Throughout years of expansion, geographic diversification, and ongoing maintenance, Granville found themselves with a system built out on a wide selection of metering equipment, and a similarly wide methodology for data collection, creating massive inefficiencies in the data retrieval and management processes.

By the time Sea Source contacted Izon, they had already identified the limitations in their existing Asset Management solution. With clients requesting a more in depth and visual reporting solution of their assets, to help close the gap between their extensive knowledge and the limitations of the tools they had at their disposal. A detailed automatic identification system was required to monitor vessels on project to review efficiencies and produce performance reporting in an easily digestible format.

Derry City & Strabane District Council (DCSDC) engaged izon with two eyes planted firmly on the future. As a council, they have committed to reducing their carbon footprint, and wanted to prove a model for renewable, sustainable energy within the council, in anticipation of the core grid architecture modernising in the area.
